All 4 of the kids have been cast by the lovely CJ Munn of http://www.rockabelly.co.uk/
She’s in the SE but it’s well worth any effort made to get there as she is undoubtedly one of the best lifecasters in the UK.
Thank you so much for the mention Jacq. It is so interesting seeing the casts all together like that, as obviously so many years have passed since I cast your eldest and although I’ve recognised a family resemblence in each set of hand and foot as they’ve passed through my studio, I’ve never seen the full collection together. I had completely forgotten that I cast you holding them as well.
Now I just need to get your hubby and dog in the studio and you’ll have a full set! ;o) xx
When we first came to you with H she was 9 months old and too wriggly to keep still. So I had to hold her. I’m so pleased I have them as my hands look noticeably older these day, plus I’m wearing my rings, which I haven’t done for ages.
S and I are definitely coming to you for a cast at some point.
I know. I’m very pleased I bothered as the caster is a couple of hours drive from us. But next to my photos, they are my most treasured inanimate objects.
I can understand that but it’s lovely to hold them and remember the size my babies used to be. And it’s also nice to have a cast of my hand from almost 10 years ago; the difference is a bit scary!
You can get them done at any age, not just when they are babies! I’m going to take mine back sometime and get a sibling cast done. Have a look on her website.
It’s never too late. You can get an older child to hold a particular pose much more easily than a small baby. I’m going to get the kids all done again sometime now they are older.
I’m usually rubbish at this kind of thing, but I was offered a cheap cast for the first one as the lady was starting out. After that I had to make the effort for the others!
At first glance that’s almost a little scary for a sunday!
We want to get these casts, where did you get them from?

Very interesting shot.
No my usual Silent Sunday offering but the thing about SS is that anything goes.
Oh my! They are incredible! What a fab memento to have, I never got round to doing this and I do regret it.

What a brilliant idea
I didn’t consciously decide to do all 4. But once I’d done one I had do the others, didn’t I?
They look really cool….a little bit creepy at first but once you realise what they are they’re really cool!
They do look a little creepy to some people, but I’m very pleased I had them done.
Im finding that a bit weird tbh – but probably as they are dismembered from their owners!
I can understand that but it’s lovely to hold them and remember the size my babies used to be. And it’s also nice to have a cast of my hand from almost 10 years ago; the difference is a bit scary!
That is brilliant! I love these. I always said I’d get them done of our two but never did. Great picture!

Very creative!
It’s not my own work, I had a lifecaster do them.
Great idea and a fantastic keepsake.
I know. They really are very special to me.
I love this idea especially the one holding hands
I had to do DD1 that way because at 9 months she was too wriggly for a solo casting. I really like it and wish I’d done the others the same way now.
These are fabulous. I wish we had had them done. What a lovely memory x

oooh freaky! hey are loads better than the ones I made though
They should be, I had a professional Lifecaster do them. I believe the DIY kits for feet and hands are almost always a disaster
Oh this is so intriguing and very unusual. Fabulous idea for a totally unique Silent Sunday!
I just completed the set last week so of course the first thing I thought was..Silent Sunday!
Thank you, I’m glad people found them so interesting.
I never organised anything like this, I don’t even have hand and feet prints which is rubbish – they do look amazing
I’m usually rubbish at this kind of thing, but I was offered a cheap cast for the first one as the lady was starting out. After that I had to make the effort for the others!
Spooky but so so cool! I have a bracelet with Jacob’s finger print but they are awesome!
I do see why people think they are spooky but when they are your own babies they are just cute!
Cute little feet. What a great idea to get these done. X
They are so cute
I was a bit freaked out at first until my brain woke up. What lovely keepsakes!
They do look a bit odd until you get your head around them.
wow these are lovely x
Thank you. I’m really pleased I made the effort to have them done.
