The Gallery: Back To School

I’d love to be able to present you with my annual Back To School photo today, but I can’t.

I’d love to be able to show you new shoes, ironed uniforms and fresh, eager faces, but that’s not going to happen. Not least because I don’t iron.

It’s 8:30am and we should be heading out the door on the school run, but we are not.

Why?

Because the kids are all still upstairs in their PJs. The girls don’t go back to school until tomorrow. And DS doesn’t start until Monday.

There will be plenty of pictures then, I promise!

But until then, you’ll have to make do with this; a photo of our hallway taken at 5 past 8 this morning.

It should be absolutely brimming with activity but it’s not. It’s empty, save for the stack of shoe boxes in the corner that contain the best part of £170 worth of new school shoes.

Ouch.

For no doubt, more conventional Back To School photos, check out this week’s Photo Gallery.
