The Gallery: Movies
With a theme like ‘Movies’ this week, for me there can be only one.
Strictly speaking, we are still *in* Africa, in Cape Town for a few more days, but my photos for today’s Gallery are inspired by the movie Out Of Africa.
We are just back from two weeks driving around Namibia and in that time we’ve seen Lines of Latitude,
Sand dunes,
African Sunsets,
Elephants,
Giraffes,
and of course, Lions.
In a few days we’ll be back in the UK and getting ready for the new school year, and it will seem like our Namibian holiday was just a dream, but at least we’ll have the photos to prove it really happened.

Oh wow… what an amazing holiday. I have always wanted to go to Africa and especially to somewhere where I could see elephants in the wild. I am impressed you took the kids… I always thought it was something I needed to do once they were grown up. Did you go with a package type deal or did you do independent travel?

Namibia in the winter is perfectly safe with kids. We drove ourselves around but used Audley Travel to make all the flight, accommodation and car hire arrangements for us. That way, we had some fall back when things went wrong.
Such beautiful photos. x
That looks incredibly amazing! What a holiday! The photos are absolutely gorgeous.
What an incredible adventure you are having!
Looks like an awesome holiday! Some amazing photos there
Wow you and your family go on such amazing holidays! These photos are perfect for the theme – the sand dunes and sunsets ones are my fav x x
Beautiful photographs and I can’t believe the size of that sand dune. I’ve been to Dubai and seen some pretty enormous ones but that one is amazing. You’re providing your children with such amazing experiences, well done that mummy!
