Things To Do With The Class Bear

We have the cursed class bear with us for the weekend. Again. DD3′s class has 2 class bears, so that no one has to  miss out. Isn’t that just great?

Luckily DD3 has her birthday party tomorrow, so we will have something to take photos of and write about. But DD couldn’t wait until tomorrow. She insisted that Barnaby bear did exciting stuff today as well so against my better judgement I’ve allowed her to take Barnaby out for her birthday outing with her Aunt.

My sister has taken them out to the movies and then they are visiting Build-A-Bear. I’ve mentioned that I’m not sure it’s appropriate for Barnaby to see how teddy bears are made but DD has promised she will put her hands over his eyes when they get to the stuffing machine.

My sister was a nanny for years so she’s dealt with class bears before but nevertheless, I’ve reminded her of how important it is to keep the teddy safe and to take lots of photos.

She’s just posted this on her timeline.

Barnaby getting arrested

I’m PMSL at the expression on the lady cops face. The bloke is being very good natured about it but you can tell the woman has better things to do with her time.

Maybe we’ll leave that one out of Barnaby’s scrapbook…

  1. Aww, they could at least have handcuffed him!

  2. We have had the bear a few times as both children been through the same class! Was pleased that the stitching I did 2 years ago to fix poor Ned was still holding up when my son brought it home… We are dab hands and photographing him everywhere. My 2 had photos taken at Olympics with their olympic mascots holding the policemen’s machine guns!!

    • Our school has class bears through year 1 and 2. We’ve had one a few times now- the best thing we did was take one to Lapland!

The best thing about going up to the juniors was no more bloody class bears – enough already with the teddies!!
