Under Construction
If you are a regular, or even a semi regular reader of my blog, you may have noticed that the theme has changed a couple times lately.
I can’t remember what theme I used when I first started out, but when my blog got hacked 9 months ago, the theme reverted to 2011 and that’s where it’s stayed ever since.
But now I have a hankering for something new, something different, something less wordpressy. I’ve been having a look at Elegant Themes and have actually paid for access to them, but I haven’t been able to decide on which one to use.
I’ve tried a few out and got some working better than others but I seem to be completely unable to look at a theme and imagine it on my site. Which is fine for any free themes, or the ones from Elegant Themes but I’m not keen on paying for premium themes only to find out that they don’t suit my purpose. It could get very expensive.
Then yesterday something went horribly wrong with the server my blog is hosted on, and it seems that my site was to blame. Mandy, my Tame Techy, managed to sort it out but I’m back now back to 2011 for a bit until I’m told it’s safe to change the theme again.
In the meantime, I’ve asked Jo at The Geek Fairy to have a look out for themes for me, as she’s obviously got an eye for it. She’s done a few mock ups of themes to give me an idea of how they would look but nothing has leapt out at me yet. I’m assuming finding a theme will be like finding a house; it will be love at first sight.
And when I do find my dream theme, I will also have a proper logo to go with it. Carol from Cupcake PR is busy creating something just for me. It’s coming on nicely, and I can’t wait to show it to you,but first we have to find a theme.
I’m sure there must be one out there somewhere…
Have you tried Woo themes?
I have had a look at them. They do look good, would you recommend?

Not me exactly, my blog. There is a slight difference.
I’m on a free theme, it doesn’t do everything I’d like it to do but in a way thats a good thing as I don’t spend too much time trying to make it look how I want, I just hope people will concentrate on what I’m writing instead. However, if I had the cash for it… totally different story!
Like the lots of links on the front page – not sure about the font or the black and yellow along the top.
